Addie Motzko Description

Addie's metal sculpture is beautifully abstractly figurative.  She makes steel look like she's working with clay... layers of shapes welded together in ways that are reminiscent of ceramics.  The texture and patina make the surfaces phenomenal.  Working from sizes ranging from 1' to 6' tall and are perfect for both any interior and/or exterior environment..   Addie is on her way to becoming one of the finest sculptors in the country.

Addie Motzko Statement

My work is often abstract - figurative and inspired by real people as well as human qualities that influence and motivate me. I'm influenced by organic shapes found in the natural world that translate themselves into subconscious and abstract forms.  I am interested in the contrast between the natural and the man made world.  For example; how organic shapes that represent nature can be cut from pieces of flat steeel and then shaped and welded together to create  abstract and organic forms.  The steel is a canvas that presents emotions, ideas, thoughts and experiences that exist on a subconscious level and transform themselves into a 3 dimensional work of art.
